Step-by-Step Guide
A wedding is one of life’s milestones, a time for good wishes, feasting and joy. It is also a sacrament binding two souls in a covenant with each other and with God. It is a public and life-long covenant between a woman and man, celebrated in the presence of God and before a priest and congregation. Because marriage is a commitment “not to be entered into unadvisedly or lightly,” we ask that you read through this material and determine if these policies are acceptable to you.
A Step-By-Step Guide to Getting Married at St Alban’s Church, Tattenhall
1 After reading the Frequently Asked Questions, contact the Rector. He will give you further information.
2 The Rector will arrange an appointment. If all agree to continue forward after that meeting, the date for your wedding will be placed on St Alban’s calendar.
3 You will meet with the Rector for at least two more pre-marital counseling sessions.
4 You will also meet with one of the flower ladies from the church.
5 You will be provided with direct contact with our Organist to arrange the music.
6 You and the wedding party will rehearse the wedding.
7 As reflected on the website, there are a variety of nearby venues for your reception. The Rector will further inform you in this regard.
We expect that people will be on time for the rehearsal and the wedding.
