As well as raising £1086 for the British Legion, our fundraising continued into the next week. Gill Friswell organised for St Alban's to remain open for refreshments for anybody wanting come in and see the poppy displays. And you certainly did! Combining the donations to the flower fund and the refreshments over £400 was raised that week. Is this the real life? Is this just fantasy?
On 12th November, Monday Club visited the cinema. I was expecting to see Johnny English or one of the current Disney films but ...... the minute Robert saw the poster for Bohemian Rhapsody he got very excited. " I love Queen. I had all their albums when I was younger" David said that he had been to a concert with a tribute band and had loved it so .... Bohemian Rhapsody was the film of choice. It was brilliant!!

Remembrance Sunday
Today's service marked the Centenary of the ending of the Great War. The St Alban's Armistice service was so well attended, people were having stand outside as the Church was so full. Families, Parishioners, Scouts, Guides and other uniformed associations gathered to pay their respects to the fallen. Following the service, we walked to the Village Memorial where a two minutes silence was held and poppy wreaths laid.
