All Saints, Handley

All Saints Handley is a Grade II* listed building, of which the oldest part is the tower, built in 1512. It has many other significant features including the 17th century hammer beam roof which was left intact when James Harrison undertook a major restoration in 1854. The cost of maintaining such a building and its surrounds is immense, and The 'Friends of All Saints' was launched in 2006 with the object of raising money for specific projects for its restoration and repair. We appeal urgently to all who have an interest in the preservation of such an historic local building, whether you are a churchgoer or not, to become a 'Friend of All Saints'. Annual sub is £20 per person / £30 per couple. An application form is available on our website www.achurchnearyou.com or please contact The Friends Membership Secretary, Jan Lea on 01829 770212.
